Spent a lot of time with Kevin at Benjamin. He is outstanding. Decided on the Armada Semi Auto. I was shocked at the power of this PCP. Amazing service. Amazing product.
I will say, that mine came damaged. Benjamin took care of it immediately and with no hassle.

I like the fact that it is semi-auto and has a regulator. Otherwise it would be 1 star. This rifle has a bunch of issues, however.
This rifle was fairly good early on but the bolt stickiness kept getting worse despite cleaning and oiling as time went on, to the point where it jammed every three shots on average. This causes uneven pellet seating so the velocities vary wildly as well as the accuracy. The bolt even broke the magazine. Once the rifle fails to fire or jams the magazine MUST be removed before cycling by pulling the bolt back fully and taking it out. Otherwise it will feed a second pellet behind the first one. Sometimes the magazine will not come out because a pellet is not fully seated. A ramrod is needed quite a bit to remove jammed pellets etc.
There is no way to remove a loaded pellet except by firing the rifle or using a ramrod. It is also very difficult to tell if there is a pellet in the chamber.
This particular adjustable stock is a major pain in the winter as the butt acts as a big hook to hang up in your jacket. I would buy a different stock.
Personally I don’t like the safety but others may prefer it. Personal preference I guess.
I couldn’t find a manual online and the support person couldn’t find one either. Contacting support is also difficult to do as there is no phone number.

Benjamin makes a great product but there are a few things I want to call your attention to on this product. First of all the bolt does not stay open when the charging handle is fully retracted and cocked. That becomes a problem when you need to clean the bore. Can you believe that Benjamin Support told me specifically that you don’t need to clean the barrel ever! Really!? I solved this problem by purchasing extra heavy duty, tactical rubber bands, which I attach to the charging handle, pull it back and wrap the other end of the rubber band around the butt stock to keep the breach open. But nowhere have I seen any kind of mention of this not so good requirement. But the rubber bands do a great job as long as you know in advance that you’re going to need them. The other thing I want to call to everyone’s attention is that the top forward corner of the hand guard has an extremely sharp pointy tip. I’ve cut myself a few times on this already in the first day. Benjamin should certainly have done something about this and I have sent them an email to put them on notice. Aside from that you’ll need to know that you just can’t use the ordinary 22 caliber Armada or Marauda magazines. These take a special magazine, probably with a stronger spring. Those people who are reporting jams, frequent jams, are maybe using the ordinary magazine. So make sure that you an appropriate amount of additional magazines specifically for the semi automatic rifle when you order the rifle. it comes with only one magazine. Given the price of this airgun, and the fact that it takes a special magazine, I would’ve expected at least two with the air gun.

I get 30 shots per fill. That’s from a full, 3000 psi air tank down to 2,000 psi, where iot is regulated to.

The Benjamin Armada and Marauder semi autos use the same action, but the Marauder has a larger air tank. Just different stocks. Both are notorious for jamming problems. Some people say that they have jams and misfires (a misfire is when a pellet does not come out of the barrel and there’s no pellet jammed in the barrel). I ordered three extra magazines because surprisingly, it only comes with one magazine. Initially I had jams with every kind of pellet. I emailed Benjamin support about what to do about the jamming and the only kind of response I got was "don’t use slugs" and "it may be the magazine" with no further detail on what about the magazine! I was really ready to throw in the towel and return it but I tried JSB 15gn pellets and put a generous amount of silicone GREASE on the bolt/probe and a little bit on the inside of the magazine. With that pellet and the silicone grease I haven’t had any jamming or misfiring. It’s regulated at 2000psi and if you go below that, it likely will jam. I will try as the pellets again tomorrow. The charging handle gets stuck in the forward position and is VERY difficult to pull back out. I’ll ask Benjamin what to do about that. If I have to return this because no fixes available, I’ll get an AEA Sniper (semi-auto).
