I have been both an air rifle and a powder burner enthusiast for well over 40 years now. I grew up hunting and shooting and I’m also a retired L.E.O. I’ve owned (still do) numerous springers, piston, and CO2 power plants over the years. Several months ago, I decided to enter the PCP arena. Knowing that I wanted to both target shoot and hunt with my new upcoming purchase, I did my research on numerous .25 cal PCP pellet rifles.
I have to admit that I immediately fell in love with the appearance and platform of the Armada. Knowing that this rifle is basically the same thing as the time tested, reliable and proven Marauder (the Armada just wears a different "set of clothes") I knew I could not go wrong with it so I ultimately decided for this rifle. I already own several scuba tanks due to being an advanced open water certified scuba diver, so I knew I at least had that part of the PCP equation taken care of.
When my Armada arrived, it was packaged extremely well. Before I ever shoot any new rifle or handgun, I always give it a thorough examination to make sure everything is tight, in place as it should be, safe, and I ALWAYS clean the bore/barrel before ever putting the first round through it. Everything was in order thanks to Benjamin and their quality control. I am a firm believer that giving a new barrel a thorough cleaning, prior to putting the the first round downrange with it, will lend to a more accurate barrel over time.
So, enough of the small talk, what will this Armada do? So far, I have put over a 1000 rounds through it of varying brand and weight pellets. Needless to say, the barrel is leaded in by now (a whole different can of worms for a later discussion) and I can honestly say I am overly satisfied with this air rifle. However, from the get-go, this pellet rifle excelled!
Right out of the box (with a good barrel cleaning as I mentioned and also installing my own scope), I was shooting 5 shot sub MOA groups at 25 yards with the 25.4 gr. Air Arms Diablo Field pellets. Was I already just a little bit excited… with an "unseasoned barrel" at this point… and only having tried one brand and weight of pellet? I think you know the answer. I then decided to take it out to 50 yards. It was then that I was pretty much in awe that this rifle made one hole in the target after emptying the 8 round magazine. Of course, I then had to take it out to 75 yards a few days later. Once again, I was overly impressed with this Armada. It consistently produced 5 shot groups that could be covered by a Quarter. I think that is pretty darn good for a complete factory setup right out of the box.
After having only owned this rifle for a few months, I can say it’s going to be hard to go back to anything else. I’ve tried various brand and weight pellets (as if the Air Arms weren’t good enough…lol) and finally found the brand and weight pellet that my Armada absolutely loves. Keep in mind, ALL pellet rifles, for their best accuracy and results, can prefer certain pellets over others even though the Armada is not all that picky. In addition, I have done nothing to this rifle since it left the factory other than what I mentioned. It is completely stock and has not been tuned. However, being that the internals of the Armada are the same as the Marauder, this rifle is extremely capable of being modded having the M-LOK fore grip and collapsible/removable butt plate/stock and, not to mention, the modifiable internals of this platform.
What are the velocities of this rifle? Well….due to loaning a friend my cherished chronograph and it mysteriously NOT working when returned…… with only an apology…… I just recently started looking for a new one. I’m very interested to see where this rifle stands in FPS. I "might" try to tweak my Armada if I can find a decent chrono, but until then, I’m going to leave it be.
I can speak from experience that Benjamin is a great line of air rifles, as well as Crosman, of which several I own. I would not hesitate to recommend this rifle to anyone looking for their first PCP or, for that matter, anyone at all that is simply looking for one heckuva accurate pellet rifle at a decent price point. If you like accuracy, a rifle you can accessorize, and an AR style platform, this one is right up your alley. From the ergonomics, to the weight of the Armada which feels as though it is a real powder burner, this thing has all the bells and whistles. In my humble opinion, you just cannot go wrong with the Benjamin Armada!! I hope this review helps my fellow airgun enthusiasts in their decision to "pull the trigger" on purchasing an Armada .25 cal if comparing this rifle to another. Good luck, happy hunting and, MOST importantly, SAFE shooting my friends!!!

I bought it. Got rid of Centerpoint scope. Put a UTG Accushot 4×16 on it, and UTG bipod. Tried every pellet on the market, then settled with JSB King Heavy. This gun is dead on all the way out to 100 yards, and even more. I shot a pig at 70 yards. Shot went rite where I was aiming and pig went down rite away. Shot another at 20 yards and put a big hole in its head. I love this gun, and Benjamin has the best customer service experience than any others I had the misfortune to deal with. So in a nutshell, I LOVE MY ARMADA!!

I am more then happy with my Armada. It is built solid no issues and is extremely accurate for getting rats and small mice. At 15 to 20yards you can hit a dime.
