A quiet breakbarrel that won’t break the bank. A traditional rifle look, synthetic stock.
As I fire more shots the accuracy is getting better and and quieter. I got a .22 cal.
and got a woodchuck to do a backflip. The Bad–the scope , But the rifle is Quality.

This was my first pellet rifle and it was a joke at first but me and my buddy went to are local store to pick up a pellet gun to go squirrel hunting and these are what we landed on we took them home and unboxed them and where every impressed although the scope was not great we went and got new scopes nothing fancy spent maybe $50 or so but once we slapped them bad boys on we where smooth sailing for there but then realized the squirrel where more wary of us and we couldn’t close the distance on them with out spooking them the rifle it’s self is great for beginners like my buddy and my self but 2 years have passed with this rifles and they where very worn we dropped them and left them the open room so they got rusty but then we said it’s time for an upgrade and I loved the rifle so much I stayed loyal to Benjamin because they where clearly doing something right so then I ordered the Benjamin Kratos witch is everything iv needed so far and have had zero problems as of yet so if your looking for something cheap and reliable as long as they get treated right and stored correctly this rifle with perform and it will do it well!!

My son got the Nitro Piston Powered Break Barrel Air Rifle with 4×32 Scope but he didn’t have the scope I have been trying to get him a scope since I figured out it was missing with no avail… I am not sure who can help me or who will Nitro Piston Powered Break Barrel Air Rifle with 4×32 Scope please email me at Goxxxxxxxxx@gmail.com to help me!!!! He doesn’t deserve half of a gift he’s a good kid and being a single mom of 7 kids I can’t afford to buy things that aren’t all included hence the reason I got this one!

This gun is amazing. It has more power with it’s nitro piston in 17 cal. than my Hatsan Air tact 25 cal spring loaded. Summary: Spring loaded air guns have no power and because of that they are a waste of money.

Picked up this 950fps Prowler at Walmart for $70.00 Shoots great very accurate but velocity is way below advertised only get 720fps with Crosman 14.3HP but fun to shoot!! I would recommend this to everyone.

Great,still in breaking period

Great air rifle. I have it in .177 and use it for target practice, hunting rabbits and squirrels, reduce pigeon and rat populations around the small family farm. Very different from my old Crossman 1400 in .22.

Overall the rifle is great but the scope that came with it is broken but other than that I’m happy with it

I ordered a prowler and you shipped a cross an shockwave. Not really sure what to think.

Unfortunately I was unable to zero in sights as the barrel was misaligned with the scope mount rails. Scope was maxed out and nowhere near close to POI. The barrel also was not very smooth and notchy when cocking. Definitely room for improved quality control.

Great experience, I was just wondering how to get parts

Love the gun not so much the scope

For closer targets for me the best is the rear window sights adjustable and the neon front sight. This is a guess and I am planning to put one on i and to other air rifle I own, Greetins everybody

This rifle is easy to cock, shoots Sig Venom pellets into a quarter size group at 25 yards and is easy to clean. The first thing you need to do when you buy this air rifle is take the scope out of the box and throw it in the trash. You will just get frustrated if you mount this scope and try to get decent results. Invest some money and get yourself a Tasco 3-9 x 40 or 2-7×32 AIR RIFLE scope for under $75 dollars. Make sure you get a decent mount as well. This is the one I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BPPRB28H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
Shoot a few different types of pellets to see which gives you the most accuracy and once you find that pellet, don’t keep trying other pellets in the riflr as you will have to keep adjusting your scope. Find a good pellet and stick with it. I uses 14.5 grain domed pellets in my rifle and they work great.

I bought this for my son a little less than 1 year ago. Initially he used it very little but recently we have really been trying to dial it in accurately and this thing just doesn’t group well. Seems solidly built. We have tried 3 types of ammo, all not that accurate. We are using a vice and trying at 25 years to start. I’ve also tried other scopes. I read some of these have issues due to barrel “drop”. Right now it’s sitting up and considering just going with another brand.

First thing you need to do is take the enclosed centerpoint scope from the box and beat it with a hammer. It is garbage. Don’t waste your time and energy trying to get a decent group with that scope. I bought a Tasco 3-9×40 air rifle scope ($79) and it works perfectly. Make sure you by a sturdy mount and rings also or the scope will move in the rings with every shot fired.
I shoot this rifle at 25 yards and get groups I can cover with a quarter using Sig Dome pellets (.22 caliber). The rifle is easy to cock and is comfortable to shoot. I highly recommend this air rifle.

I’ve owned my prowler (BPNP17X) for several years. I loved it when I got it. Now I don’t shoot it very often. About a year ago the pellets don’t clear the barrel.
If I wore it out that would be fine. But I’ve only shot about 200 times. ☹️

Very good right out of the box and not having to pay 400-500$ any one looking for a good air gun this is it just put a quality scope on it and you will be pleased

Do not buy this gun. I’ve had mine for over a year and have never been able to zero it in. I’ve tried all the tricks including different ammo, cleaning, tightening all the screws. I’ve read everything on the internet to fix it. Every shot is a new adventure. Based off of other online feedback,I even spent more money and replaced the scope. That didn’t help either. I’m an experienced shooter and this gun is a mess. Save your money and go with a different option.

I was surprised by its weight , but Iam happy with it’s performance right out of the box . Very easy to dail her in, and the hollow point 22 round shed any cans your shoot’n . Thank you Benjamin

I had one and it was stolen, but this is an excellent air rifle and I know guns and hunting. I’ve been doing it for over 45 years as I’m 62 and this rifle is accurate, dependable and quiet and powerful. I could drill squirrels in the head with the open sights and plain pellets from Walmart after checking the sights at the 25 yard range. I could easily keep them inside a quarter at that range and this thing has some serious power and it’s not as loud as most people would think.
Can’t say enough about it. I’ll probably get a PCP rifle this next time to hunt medium game and small game and varmints. Maybe 357..
Thanks Crossman. A. legend!

Found one under an abandoned motor home with the barrel bent up at almost 20 degrees. I didn’t understand how this could happen until I tried to cock it. My first nitro piston break barrel experience. Wow, this thing is stiff! The owner evidently let it go in mid cock and it snapped back, bending the barrel. I removed the barrel and chucked the head stock in a vice and bent that barrel right back to perfect; nickle groups at 50 feet. I’m using a Tasco 3-9X40 scope and can get a head shot on a lizard at 20 yards. This gun has some heft, I was surprised how heavy it was compared to my kids $60 Walmart plastic BB gun. I’d like to see some iron sights on this but the suppressor is huge. I can comfortably fire this in my backyard with no neighbors complaining. Kick was more than I was expecting from a piston gun, make sure you got it nice and snug in your shoulder pocket. A wood stock option would be really nice. Stay with one pellet source, you’ll be happier. Semper Fi, USMC.

Very accurate. The only thing I didn’t really like was the scope.

Owned the Prowler .177 for about 7 plus years. It is a heavy used airgun. When the kids come over, they ware it out. I also use it a lot. Did have accuracy issues. Put a Simmons 3-9 x 32 .22 Mag scope and problem solved. Holds tight groups and is still sending pellets 980 fps.

These are great little rifles and they are accurate and well made. Solid rifle and easy to cock. They hit hard. I used it to shoot starlings and varmints and it kills them so fast. I had the . 22 version which is a barn burner.
But if you want a good one at a great price. Can’t recommend enough!

After about 100 pellets my target grouping has improved a lot. Cocking the rifle has also become easier now as well. Pleased with the rifle and quality.
Kevin Vincent (verified owner) –
It a good air gun for the price but wish I had gotten a stronger one
Lyle Cater (verified owner) –
They did what they said they would do that’s the best thing.
Tj –
Trigger could be lighter by far
Seems to hold group ok @30 yards with heavier 91.5 grain pellet
I say for the money gun ok
BD –
The garbage scope would be better replaced with iron sights so at least it can be shot out of the box. Heavy and as accurate as I am, which isn’t always. SF D

This Benjamin Prowler is my first air gun. I can’t always get to the range and this gun allows some "trigger time" in my backyard. I chose the Benjamin product due to it’s heritage, but was greatly disappointed when the "made in China" engraving was discovered. The trigger is certainly not the best as has been published, but for the price, seems like a decent air rifle. I’m not thrilled by the quality control as these marks in the compression tube should probably not be there.
